Ipieca has elected Petrobras’s Carlos Gonzalez as its new Vice Chair. Carlos has been an active member of Ipieca since 2009. Before his appointment as Vice Chair, he participated in Ipieca’s Water and Environment groups, and has been a member of its Executive Committee since 2017.
Carlos brings two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry to his role as Ipieca Vice Chair, which he will perform alongside his current position as Petrobras HSE Corporate General Manager.
Throughout his 20 years at Petrobras, Carlos has led numerous environmental and sustainability projects, with a focus on water and biodiversity issues. Prior to his current Petrobras role, he served as Environment Manager and has held other positions including Water and Biodiversity Coordinator and Environmental Engineer.
